General FAQs

1.) What is ZMT PUB?

The ZMT PUB is a digital repository designated for the preservation and management of academic publications associated with ZMT affiliated authors or editors.

2.) Why should I publish my works in ZMT PUB?

ZMT PUB improves the visibility of your works and enhances your personal impact on the reports of ZMT‘s research activities.

3.) How can I submit an item to ZMT PUB?

If you want to deposit your work in ZMT PUB, you have two options:

  1. You may send us your data and material and we will deposit it.
  2. You may deposit your data and material yourself.

For the publication of your work, we require:

  • the bibliographic data (metadata) corresponding to your publication
  • your publication as PDF-file
  • specifications if people can reuse and share your work: Creative Commons

Subsequently, we will check the metadata, format and copyright issues and then release the data for reporting.

4.) Is there any quality control of ZMT PUB?

Every item uploaded to ZMT PUB will be checked (item type, mandatory fields, typing errors, format and copyright issues) before it is made available for reporting and if applicable for the website.

5.) What type of format do you require for submission?

The documents should be in a uniform and platform-independent format. This format is currently PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) as it provides the most benefits. Should you be unable to present your documents in the PDF-format, we will be glad to do the PDF-conversion for you. Please ensure that you do not lock the PDF, as otherwise a full-text indexing is not possible.

6.) How do I add a link on my personal homepage to my list of publications? How do I add a link on my research divisions' website to our publications?
